Samsung Unveils New AC to Challenge Panasonic’s Econavi

As the market leader in the electronics market, Samsung Electronics West Africa, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Company Limited, a leading manufacturer of air-conditioners has responded to Panasonic’s recent unveiling of Econavi room air conditioners with AVS, which purifies air and saves energy in an attempt to take prime position in the market

To retain its leadership position, Samsung is focussing on delivering healthy air conditioning along with saving on energy. The new Samsung air-conditioner branded, Virus Doctor Technology, helps eliminate all bacteria and air borne viruses up to 99.9 per cent efficiency as against Panasonic Econavi air-conditioner which utilizes nanoe-technology, nanoe-G, to deactivate 99 per cent of harmful microorganisms.

However, Samsung’s new brand is said to be designed with the infamous H1N1 virus, which was created by the global brand to consumers to enjoy both cool and hygienic air

To that end, Samsung has developed air conditioners addressing all three concerns.

As at date, all Samsung split air conditioners are fitted with Triple Protector technology, developed and patented by us.

This technology helps in ensuring that our air conditioners can work without stabilizers, between voltage range of 135v – 400v, unlike, many other brands, which shuts off the air conditioner, when voltage falls below 170v.

We have also introduced to the market air conditioners, using Ozone friendly refrigerants, which addresses the concerns around Ozone depletion. We are an organisation that truly, looks to the future and ensures our R&D is tuned towards it.”
