MTN Ultimate Wonder promo: First set of winners get prizes

MTN Nigeria has redeemed its promise to the first set of winners in the ongoing MTN Ultimate Wonder promotion. At the first prize presentation ceremony, which held at Victoria Court, Victoria Island, Lagos last week, Oniyide Zacheaus, an inventory officer with WAPCO, Ewekoro, Ogun State, emerged the first weekly star winner of the cash prize of N2 million, while another 25 subscribers walked away with N150, 000 each.

Kola Oyeyemi, general manager, consumer marketing, reassured subscribers that the Ultimate Wonder promo was real even though it appeared unbelievable. According to him, “we understand that this has not been done before and which is why some may still be in doubt of the star prize of an airplane.

But here we are making the first presentation in the Ultimate Wonder promo. This is to further assure our esteemed subscribers that MTN remains committed to fulfilling its promise. This is not the first time we are engaging our consumers in a mega promo, we did it with the N1 billion promo and we gave out all we promised. The airplane in question is not too much for us to give out to reward and excite our loyal and esteemed consumers.”

Speaking further, Oyeyemi revealed that apart from the Ultimate Wonder promo, MTN had also introduced new exciting wonder packages to enable subscribers connect and bond better with family and friends through doing what they love best, which is ‘living, laughing and loving.’

He remarked that though the winner had a choice of getting a cash equivalent of N64 million, if he won it, he would keep it because it would be a complete dream come true.

Overwhelmed with joy, 50 year-old Oniyide, the N2 million winner, revealed that he had his doubts when he was first contacted that he had won one of the weekly star prizes, exclaiming: “This is a new dawn for me, MTN has done the unexpected.”

In the same vein, Onifade Busayo, one of the N150, 000 winners, declared himself an ambassador for MTN wherever he finds himself.
