Festac is originally referred to as the “Festival Town” or “Festac Village”. It was designed to accommodate the participants of the Second World Festival of Black Arts and Culture back in 1977. Since then, Festac is considered the icon of art and culture in Lagos and by hosting the Music Festival, Festac will restore its heritage as the capital of art and music in Nigeria.
Five Star Music in partnership with Golden Tulip Hotel, Festac Lagos is set to blow your mind with another edition of Music Festival Lagos. The 4th edition of this prestigious music event would be happening on the 18th of March 2016 at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Festac Town. The event which is rated one of the best in Nigeria is expected to host over 10,000 music lovers from different parts of the country.
This time, Lagos Music lovers would be treated to an amazing experience by some of the A-List musicians in the country with over 27 artists would be performing live such as musical Legend King Sunny Ade, Phyno, Kcee, Olamide, Lil Kesh , Timaya, Wande Coal, Patoranking , Ycee , Omawunmi, Tekno, Harrysong, Iyanya, Olamide, D’banj, Oritsefemi and a host of others.
Guests and other fun seekers will be treated to rib cracking jokes from comic acts such as AY, Patrick, Funny Bone, Ushbebe , Pencil, among several others.
The Music Festival Lagos is an annual event and live music concert, produced by Five Stars Music in conjunction with Golden Tulip Hotel Festac Lagos – the two have joined forces to bring a unique and eclectic line-up of different music performances, displaying many different facets of the Nigerian Music industry. The Music Festival Lagos is proud to feature and support both established artists as well as talented and upcoming artists.
According to, Mr Obrien Ufondu, entertainment Guru and chairman of the show, the festival serves as a platform to refine new talents, honor the golden generation and use their proficiencies and backgrounds to develop the new upcoming generation and encourage the Nigerian stars to introduce their abilities to the international music scene.

- The festival was first launched in 2013, and is the brainchild of Swiss hotelier Shousha Mohsen, musician KCEE and entertainment guru Obrien Obinna Ufondu with the aim of developing Nigerian musicians and providing an artistic platform for musicians to expose their talent to the national and international music scene. The festival combines music, visual arts and food. The maiden edition was held 20th of April 2013 had over 9000 music fans and lovers
