DStv is ushering in the festive season with an exciting lineup on the holiday pop-up channel featuring some of Nigeria’s most beloved end-of-year events. The dedicated pop-up channel 198 on DStv will be the go-to destination for high-energy events, spiritual gatherings and family-friendly content this festive season.
The festive rollout begins with Joyful Noise airing on November 21 at 7 PM, followed by the MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Grand Finale on November 23 at 11 AM, giving families an early dose of entertainment and inspiration. December opens with the 20th edition of Africa’s biggest gospel music and worship concert, The Experience, on Friday, December 5 at 8 PM, bringing its signature night of music and praise to millions of screens nationwide.
Faith-based celebrations continue with Unusual Praise on December 12 at 7 PM and the Akwa Ibom Christmas Carol on December 19 at 7 PM, showcasing powerful performances, choir renditions, and cultural expressions from across the country. Rounding out the month is the vibrant Carnival Calabar, airing daily from December 23 to 30, capturing the colour, creativity, and energy of Africa’s biggest street party. The Calabar Carnival will parade an exciting line-up of activities, including a phenomenal cultural parade.
The Holiday pop-up channel goes live on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 49 from Thursday, 20 November 2025, till Saturday, 3 January 2026, and is available to customers across the various DStv and GOtv packages.
