
UPDC PLC has announced its full support to the Third Music Festival Lagos and its commitment to the development of the Music industry in Nigeria.
UPDC PLC executives and owners of the Golden Tulip Hotel Festac Lagos Hotel and one of the main sponsors of the Second Music Festival Lagos announced today in a press conference held at Golden Tulip Hotel, Festac, Lagos its full support to the third Music Festival Lagos, which will be held at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Festac, Lagos on March 6th, 2015.
The Managing Director of UPDC PLC which is part of the UAC group, announced that the company is committed not only to support the Music Festival Lagos, being a permanent sponsor for the festival, but also committed to develop the music industry in Nigeria and develop upcoming artiste.
The press conference was also attended by founders of the Music Festival Lagos, the MD, UPDC, Sound sultan, Emmanuel Ele the corporate affairs Manager, Golden Tulip Hotel, Festac Lagos, Barrister Chuka Nwokeji, legal adviser to Music festival Lagos and O’brien Obinna Ufondu, in addition to journalists from various media houses.
Also in attendance were representatives of the main sponsors including: Nigerian Breweries, BEST cream liqueur, GZI, YAGE, Air France, SweetHome, Mantrac, OO1, LASAA, StanbicIBTC Bank etc.
The Music Festival Lagos is a live music concert held annually at the Golden Tulip Hotel Festac, Lagos – The event brings diverse line-up of different musical performances, showcasing different facets of the Nigerian music industry. The Music Festival Lagos is proud to feature and support both established artistes as well as talented and upcoming artistes.
Soundsultan who happens to be one of the veteran musicians in the Nigerian music industry has expressed his full support and involvement in this year’s event. He cited that no musical show of this magnitude happens anywhere in Lagos. The admiration of the event comes from the super blend of the old and new generation artistes. On a lighter note, he spoke about being caught in the middle of both old and new generation artistes in the country and do not know where he actually belongs.
The success of the second edition in 2014 of this most prestigious music carnival was attributed to the relentless effort of all sponsors and various stakeholders including the Media.
