UBA Diaspora Account: Friends Abroad, Get you Paid!!!

Having buddies in the U.S, U.K, Australia, Canada or maybe even China isn’t just for I.J.G.B status anymore (I Just Got Back) or as we presume, bragging rights. Now those connections will get you paid big time.

Cited recently, was an impressive campaign steered by UBA (United Bank for Africa) that says: ‘It pays to have friends in the diaspora’. Having friends and family away are always an advantage, especially as regards the perks of shopping and shipping but this new UBA campaign is interesting because as a referrer you get instant reward for as many successful signings you get.

The logic behind this refer-a-friend Campaign is the more friends and family in the Diaspora you sign on, the more your reward. If you can get 10 people to each open a UBA Diaspora account with an opening balance of N50,000 naira equivalent, $100, £100 or 100 euros and your name is imputed as the referrer while the account is being opened, you get an instant N5,000 reward* for each person, amounting to a total sum of N50,000 for the 10 people.

The sweet part is that opening a UBA Diaspora account is very easy and can be done from any part of the world. The entire process, from start to finish, can be done online on the UBA website or by downloading the bank’s Video Banking App from any app store. This is quite an interesting feat as it not only aids those in Diaspora to own domiciled accounts but it also endears existing customers to commit to establishing brand love and awareness for a product they use.

If you ask me, the best form of conviction is referral and as they say, your network is your net worth.

This campaign is an outright opportunity for those with Diaspora connections to make good change and probably buy a ticket to go do their own shopping. Like the AD says, “It pays to know people who live abroad”!!!
