Noah’s Ark Communications Limited has once again set the pace in the industry by recording another significant milestone by emerging the first agency in Nigeria to be recognized by Cannes Lions – the world’s biggest annual awards show and festival for professionals in the creative communications industry.
Cannes Lions awarded two Press Lions National Diploma awards in the CRAFT/illustration category to the agency for its works ‘Sassy Woman’ and ‘Angry Man’ Both for Indomie 210 grams entered for the 60th international of creativity held in Cannes, France between 16 -22 June 2013.
The Managing Director and Executive Creative Director, -Noah’s Ark Communications Limited, Mr. Lanre Adisa noted that the Cannes Lions recognition is not only for the agency but for the Nigerian Advertising industry as a whole. ‘’We are very proud to put the flag of the country on the global Advertising map once again. This really means a lot to us and the industry in general. We have been knocking on the door of international recognition for some time, now there is a little opening, we won’t stop until the door is wide open’’ he said.
Meanwhile, the agency also won 12 laurels at the Special Edition of the Lagos Advertising & Ideas Festival (LAIF) awards organized by the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) which was held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Intercontinental Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos. Noah’s Ark won one Gold , four Silver and seven Bronze medals to emerge overall second on the medals table at this year’s Lagos Advertising & Ideas Festival (LAIF).
The Agency won Gold (Radio) for Paga in the Bank and Investment category, one Silver (Outdoor) for Indomie ,another Silver (Press) for Indomie Oriental Fried Noodles and a Silver medal for Power Pasta (Radio) all in the Food & Consumables category while the last Silver medal was won for best use of media for VConnect in the special category.
The agency garnered the seven Bronze medals in Food & Consumable Category for Chicken Republic (Outdoor), Indomie Pepper Chicken (Press), Dulux Xmas Ad (Press) , Power Pasta (Radio), Best use of Music for GOtv (Radio) ,Best use of Photo Manipulation/illustration for Indomie Oriental Fried Noodles and Best Use of Media for VConnect.
Also in young LAIFERS category, the agency young creatives duo of Jolomi Awala and Eniola Johnson came second to clinch the silver medal with each carting home the prize of a brand new laptop for their creative ingenuity.
On the LAIF awards, Mr. Lanre Adisa commended the creative team of the agency headed by the Creative Director, Bolaji Alausa for keeping up the tempo by making it almost a tradition to win big at the LAIF award since the agency began to submit entries in 2009. He also commended the young creative duo for carrying the creative flag of the agency very high.
