Beer Drinking and Lifestyle! Get Educated at The Nigerian Beer Symposium 2016 | Thursday, June 30th

Beer consumption is one of the well-known ritual of social gathering in Nigeria and has become a culture among lovers of quality brew, especially those who understand the health benefits. This has however stirred the following questions:  When did this culture start? How does it facilitate togetherness no matter the tribe and ethnicity? How healthy is Beer drinking?  These and more, would be the focus of discussion at this year’s Beer and Lifestyle Symposium 2016 where a team of experts drawn from the medical and health research, food and nutrition, media and communication fields will come together to discuss the benefit of moderate beer consumption.  This year’s symposium will be holding on June 30, 2016 at the Eko Hotel& Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The symposium promises to be engaging and revealing as panelists will explore topics ranging from: Celebration and our culture, moderate beer consumption, beer and nutrition, women and healthy lifestyle, beer and youth culture amongst other related topics.

To lead the panel of experts at the symposium will be Donald Duke, the former governor of Cross River state. Other panelists expected at the symposium are: Professor Innocent Ujah, Fellow of the medical and college of Obstetrics and gynecology and current Director General, Nigerian Institute Of Medical Research (NIMR) Yaba Lagos; Stephanie Coker– On Air Personality and TV Presenter; Prof. Bartholomew Okolo (OFR); Professor of applied Microbiology and former Vice-Chancellor, University Of Nigeria Nsuka and Ted Mukoro; Veteran Advertising Guru.

The Beer and Lifestyle Symposium is supported by Africa’s beverage giant, Nigeria Breweries PLC and it will be the third edition of what is gradually becoming an annual event.
